Home emergencies are far more common than you might think. Repairs can be costly and it can be difficult to find a reliable tradesman. Home Emergency cover can take the stress out of the situation. With just one phone call, a qualified, approved professional will be on the way to get it fixed as an emergency repair or, if it costs no more, a permanent repair.

Taking legal advice can be expensive and stressful. Castle Cover Legal Expenses provides access to a range of legal services including up to £50,000 cover for the costs of a solicitor to act for you when pursuing legal matters, legal advice and support in settling the claim.

Key Cover for keys that are lost, stolen or broken in the lock for just £1.87 a month (includes 24% APR)

Key Cover provides up to £1,500 (inc. VAT) for reimbursement if your home, vehicle, office or security safe keys are lost or stolen including cover for keys broken in the lock. Simply call the 24 hour emergency helpline and they can arrange assistance from an approved, qualified locksmith. If you are left stranded more than 20 miles from home due to the loss of your vehicle keys, a hire car can even be arranged for you. This cover also includes reprogramming of alarms and immobilisers and lock and key replacements and a £10 reward is paid to anyone who finds and returns your keys – making it more likely that your keys will be returned to you.

Garden Cover just £3.00 a month (includes 24% APR)

Most buildings and contents insurance policies do not extend to garden fences, or many other features of your garden such as gates, plants, ponds and rockeries that could be very costly to repair if they are damaged. Storms, flooding and falling tree branches can play havoc with garden fences. Our optional Garden Cover will cover up to £750 to give you peace of mind that your garden features are protected from vandalism or the elements.

We’ll make sure it’s clear what’s excluded before you buy the policy, and we’ll show you what your standard excesses are (or any increased amounts you’ve agreed to pay) in your policy wording or on the policy schedule. General exclusions include:


  • Riot or civil commotion outside the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands
  • Loss or damage caused by chewing, scratching, tearing, vomiting or fouling by domestic animals
  • Loss or damage to valuables, money, business equipment left in the open at the insured property
  • Theft from an unattended motor vehicle unless the personal possessions are concealed from view and the vehicle is locked
  • Pedal cycles away from the home
  • Theft of possessions from an unlocked hotel room
