Garden cover

Most buildings and contents insurance policies do not extend to garden fences, or many other features of your garden such as gates, plants, ponds, rockeries and walls that could be very costly to repair if they are damaged. Storms, flooding and falling tree branches can play havoc with garden fences, and our optional Garden Cover policy extension, for an extra annual fee of £32, will give you peace of mind that your garden features are protected from vandalism or the elements.

Similarly, the majority of contents insurance policies do not cover the plants or trees in your garden. If you're the green-fingered type and you've invested lots of time and effort (not to mention money) into your flowerbeds and vegetable patches, our garden cover will help you to replace expensive plants if they are vandalised or destroyed by severe weather.
