Protect yourself from increased fire damage incidents

The numbers and facts make for disturbing reading. The amount fire insurers paid out last year towards fire damage claims was at an all time record high and what’s more shows a very sharp increase over the previous year. This indicates that this threat is a growing one and has the potential to cause a great deal of loss to both personal and commercial property. This obviously calls for people to take adequate protection under house and Home Insurance policies and this is something they can no longer avoid or keep procrastinating.
It is not as if the numbers of small fires have increased over the years. What is disturbing is major fires have increased in number and have been causing tremendous damage to property, belongings of people and have even claimed valuable lives.
One primary reason is the incidents of arson and during such troubled economic times, these incidents occurring among the poorer sections of society is causing a lot of hardship to the people. Besides damage to property, it is disrupting the daily activities of people including school students who are hit the most during such acts of arson on their schools.
